Auburn Reed

Auburn Elle is a professional photographer from California who is currently located in Madrid, Spain. Her work is largely focused on extracting the subtle and refined qualities out of our honest and imperfect reality. She uses the juxtaposition of rough and smooth, danger and comfort, and the veiled and vulnerable self to produce visually gripping images. She is enamored with the slow process of film photography and makes sure that her hands are involved in each step of her work. Her photos are largely shot in medium format and occasionally in 35mm.
