Nicolas Burri<\/a> is a Z\u00fcrich-based photographer who works in the field of editorial and commercial photography. Through his art, he places great focus on telling a story and creating meaningful images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fantastic Plastic […] aims to inspire fashion brands to find new ways of operating that have less of a negative impact on the environment.<\/p>Nicolas Burri<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

His photo series “Fantastic Plastic”<\/strong><\/em> sheds light on the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that the fashion industry contributes to the climate crisis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He believes that the fight against climate change and the environmental effect of Covid-19 has intensified the urgency that the industry makes significant changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The editorial project features the garments of five South African designers, who have adopted sustainable practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many environmental groups have begun protesting against the fashion industry and demanded that it acts on the climate emergency. The movement Extinction Rebellion calls on consumers to pledge to not buy any new clothing or textiles for one year. The aim is to impact the production and shift the sales of clothing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
