In a few decades, the plastic waste in the oceans will exceed the amount of fish in terms of weight. “We’ll Sea”<\/em> is a sustainable photography series by Wolf Silveri<\/a> that asks us to re-think our plastic use in an innovative approach.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wolf<\/a> is a Munich based photographer, whose work used to be focused on portraiture and people. However, after a visit to the fish market the photographer had an idea that would shape his future projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While at the market, he asked himself which of those fish kinds would we still be able to see in the (not so distant) future. Shocked by the possible answers, he brought a fish to his studio and took the first pictures for what would soon become “We’ll Sea”<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, if we keep producing and not properly disposing plastic, the amount of plastic waste in the ocean will exceed the fish weight by 2050. Therefore, incorporating topics such as sustainability into art, photography, and other types of artistic manifestation has become more important than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to show symbiosis, and I wanted to show something that makes you look twice, because you do not understand it at first (…) People have been so fed up with pity pictures, that does not touch anyone anymore.<\/p>explains Wolf Silveri to the Washington Post<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Wolf Silveri<\/a> is a photographer based in Munich with Austrian roots. He has been in the field for the past 15 years with a main focus on portrait, editorial, and corporate. Although working mainly with people, lately the photographer has also been engaged in projects that bring awareness to important causes, such as the sustainable photography series “We’ll Sea” or “The Planet”. <\/em>With his images he always tries to capture realness and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
