Moving away from the regular and engaging in unpleasant surprises can be a fun thing to do. Taking this philosophy ahead in his own way, is the renowned East London photographer Tim Walker<\/a><\/em>. With his series “Story Teller”<\/em><\/a> he redefines the expression \u2018out of the box\u2019 and takes us on a trip of horrors and spooks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As humans, most of us enjoy flirting with danger. This is one of the main reasons why a large part of us love celebrating a holiday like Halloween. Tim Walker<\/a>, well known for his Fashion Photography brand and elaborate editorial shoots, is no exception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photographer takes his viewers on a trip to an imaginary Tim-Burton-like world in his stirring Story Teller<\/a> photography series. Through his lens, Walker creates magic and his exquisite depictions leave us full of ideas on how to celebrate this dark yet fun festivity that is Halloween.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Story Teller” depicts the imaginary world of Tim Walker through an appealing mix of fashionable fairy tales, the photographer’s signature view of fantasy, unmethodical sets, and the pure genius of the man with a vision and camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes when you\u2019re taking a picture, an extra ordinary sense of luck and chance takes over and propels you to make pictures that you couldn\u2019t in the wildest dreams have imagined . This is the magic of photography.<\/p>\nTim Walker in his book Story Teller<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For some, Halloween might mean a trip to the store for ideas to dress up, but for creative professionals it is the perfect opportunity to explore one’s creative side, or a window to another world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

As a photographer, I work on a scale. It is as if there is a sort of bell and some pictures will ring that bell louder than others. I think all the pictures in the Story Teller<\/em> are pictures that have always instinctively been valuable to me for one reason or another. Tim Walker<\/a> is an English photographer known for his sophisticated editorial photography and filmmaking, especially in the world of fashion. He is a regular photographer for Vogue, Vanity Fair, and W, among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walker’s “Story Teller” photographic series was exhibited in 2012 at the Somerset House, in London. The book being also published at the time by Thames and Hudson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
