This February, we challenged some of our members to open up about Love<\/em> and some of the most intimate thoughts are now unclosed just in time for the most romantic celebration of the year.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

On a regular basis, the Cherrydeck Editorial Team selects a group of excellent professionals on Cherrydeck and highlights their most outstanding work. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this time we bring you a bunch of different outlooks to nothing else, but… Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We asked photographers from our community to showcase their best work along with their thought on \u201cWhat Does Love Mean To You?\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. We were interested in seeing how their perception of Love<\/em> might be reflected on their work and photographic representation of the feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below, we share with you a total of 18 works from 18 talented professionals, together with their interpretations of this deep emotion. Happy Valentine’s Day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt Marsh<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt is a photographer shuttling between London and Copenhagen. When asked what love means to him, he was reminded of something he found written in his grandmother’s notebook quoted by Jackson Pollock: “Love is friendship set to music.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love, along with the ecstasy and agony it causes, is bottomless inspiration that has fuelled art since art existed. It is a culmination of so many things. Desire, support, respect to name a few, but most importantly is a connection between two people, like two notes harmonising, they ring louder together. <\/p>Matt Marsh<\/a><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Love is a one way ticket into an experience, which can be good or bad. There’s no love without feelings, there’s no love without crying, there’s no love without putting yourself in the hands of another and just free your body and mind into that trip. Adina loves experimenting with photography while portraying people in different lights. Based in Augsburg, Germany, her take on love doesn’t necessarily involve the romantic feeling between two people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first memories that come to my mind when I think about love is me being a child spending time in nature. Just laying in the grass between flowers and bees, all alone looking at the sky. It felt like the earth was hugging me, loving me and I loved it. Besides the love between two people, nature is also love, if you let it love you. <\/p>Adina Salome<\/a><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

A Belgian documentary photographer, Joris is currently on the road exploring different countries. He documents all his travel experiences in an online journal — a really helpful resource to photographers — and is a true believer in love and life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter what, you have someone to count on. The usual unconditional love that everyone always talks about – cheesy but true.<\/em> I have realised that it’s equally important to also love yourself and what you’re doing in life. Love is raw and candid emotions. They are the ethereal vibrations in their own atmosphere. Love is smiling eyes, slow caressed cheek and small touches. You do not decide the essence of love in photography, it manifests itself: you can indulge it through the choice of a right location, the choice of the right colour palette, but what two bodies in love will do together you can never foresee it.<\/p>Maria Giulia Costanzo<\/a><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Love is a tingling sensation in my chest — a breath of freedom that makes me want to confess everything, but also the fateful spirit that makes me think about what I say for minutes, hours, or days before I do it at all. Love is disrupting your sleep to pick your sister up from the airport at 2 am, it is giving the money you tucked away to buy that new pair of jeans to the guy who stands and begs down the road by the robots instead.
It is letting your lover pursue their dreams over the relationship, it\u2019s falling asleep on the chair next to your grans hospital bed to make sure she feels safe.

Is the ever-changing, never-relenting palette of colour that we use to paint the panorama of our lives. It’s the beautiful, messy place somewhere between failure and perfection.
