Independent photojournalist. Living in and working out of Copenhagen, Denmark Married and father of two boys. Graduated from the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark in 1997. Freelanced in Aarhus for a couple of years before joining BT/Berlingske Media in 1998 as a staff photographer in Copenhagen mainly shooting sports and news. In 2007 I started my own photography business in Copenhagen primarily photographing sports, portraits and corporate, business and industry pictures for commercial and editorial use. My big passion is Olympic Games and I have covered Olympics in Pyeong Chang 2018, Rio 2016, Sochi 2014, London 2012, Beijing 2008, Athens 2004, Sydney 2000 and Paralympics in Rio and London along with Minsk 2019 and Baku 2015 European Games, World- and European Championships in football, handball, ice hockey, swimming, archery, wrestling, IAAF Cross, badminton, curling, gymnastics, table tennis, cyclo-cross, cycling road race, sailing, cayak, trampoline, half marathon along with national team football, Champions League football, European Tour Golf, Le Mans, Boxing title fights and major news events around the world. The other half of my photography is corporate and business pictures along with executive and employee portraits , conferences etc for commercial clients like Siemens, Novo Nordisk, MCH, Grundfos, Zurface, Ørsted, SportAccord, Nykredit, Nikon, Longines and Redbull Awards IIHF World Championship best picture contest 2018 – 2nd and 3rdprize Picture of the year Denmark 2016/2017, Sports Action, nominated Picture of the year Denmark 2013/2014, Sports Action, 2nd prize Picture of the year Denmark 2012/2013, Sports Action, 1st prize Picture of the year Denmark 2009/2010, Sports Action, 1st prize World Press Photo 2005, Sports Action Singles, 2nd prize Fujifilm European Sports Photographer 2005 Fujifilm Denmark Sports Photographer 2005 Picture of the year Denmark 2004/2005, Sports Action, 2nd prize Picture of the year USA 2004, Award of Excellence Sports Shooter Annual Contest 2004, Award of Excellence Sportsjournalist of the year, 2004 Books 2014: “23000 Heros” A photobook about the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. 2011: “FC Copenhagen” A photobook about the season 2010/2011 in the football club FC Copenhagen and the Champions League adventure taking the club to the 1/8 final. 2003: “Drengene fra Vestegnen” A sports reportage following the football club Brondby IF through the first season with Michael Laudrup coaching. 1996: “Den pæne gade på Vesterbro” A reportage about the life and history of Skydebanegade, a street in Copenhagen.
