The photographer Dominik Alves and stylist Marvin Unger teamed up to photograph beautiful luxury accessories by acclaimed houses such as Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Simone Rocha, Alexandre Vauthier, and Jil Sander for a special Schön! still life editorial.
According to the photographer, achieving images that are as clear comes only through craftsmanship and experience. Although he acknowledges that his perception of the world cumulates within his work and that’s also what makes it unique.
In a commercial environment, what he loves the most is the challenge to understand what his opposite wants and make the imagined real. As one can see in his portfolio, Dominik doesn’t want to be nailed down to one thing — he enjoys stills and fashion as well as portraiture. To him photography is a language.
