Project: Capture the test drive atmosphere

The automotive brand Polestar was looking for a videographer who could capture their test drive event in Frankfurt, Germany.
The high-class electric performance car brand devotes its work to growing society through its limitless design and technology. For this, the main aim was to capture people’s emotions and reactions towards the car.
Polestar was able to find the best suited creative by opening a job opportunity on Cherrydeck.
By specifying the requirements of the job, Polestar was able to receive countless applications from talented videographers, before making the decision of who they wanted to work with.
Leon Spanier was the videographer selected for the job.
The job spanned over three days and presented Leon with great freedom when it came to the times he should be present at the event. The end result intended was a short highlight clip showcasing the product and reflecting the excitement of the attendees.
Leon felt that presenting the car in different lightings would greatly impact the emotions and atmosphere reflected — a factor of major importance to Polestar. Therefore, he shot every day of the event to display the product in different weather conditions and at different times of the day.

Leon describes the process of finding a job through Cherrydeck as being an undoubtedly great experience — which he looks forward to again in the near future.
As for the contact process with Polestar, he assures it was easy-going and with a great deal of trust being placed into him. The marketing manager for Polestar briefed Leon for 20 minutes and Leon was welcomed to let his creativity shine.
