Gustavo Gama was one of the four winners of the Cherrydeck Creators Award. Although having submitted a wholehearted couple photo to celebrate Togetherness, the photographer is more likely to be seen photographing buildings and other architectural pieces. Today, he shares with us a special project he’s worked on.
Gustavo is a Portuguese architect and professional photographer, born, raised and based in Porto, in Portugal — and it was in his hometown that the artist got the chance to photograph Hilton’s architectural piece.
The Boeira Garden Hotel is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. The hotel is located near Porto in the historical gardens of Quinta da Boeira, a winery from the beginning of the 20th century. With his pictures, Gustavo wanted to illustrate how well the building fits in its surroundings and underline the successful alliance between the historical past and the modern architecture of the place.
The whole building itself, of a sculptural and austere character, is naturally linked to the pre-existence of the Palace as well as to the morphology of the land.
