The ‘Pixel to Film’ challenge invites you to unleash your creativity and showcase your unique interpretation of the timeless charm of film with your digital camera. All photography fields welcome!

Join us as we embark on a three-week adventure, starting this May 6th. With three chances to win, each week brings a new opportunity to shine.

Three weeks, three winners

Each week, one exceptional entry wins a €700 voucher to buy your desired gear from MPB – the largest global platform to buy, sell and trade used photography and videography kit.

The contest is open to photographers in the EU. Entries will be judged on creativity and the ability to emulate film style!

To enter the challenge:

1. Submit one digital photo that creatively mirrors the film photography aesthetic.

2. Share with us a description of your technique and equipment used.

That’s it! Create something from scratch or repurpose past work from your portfolio! 

Winners will be announced every Monday starting May 13th, and notified via email.

Terms & Conditions | Pixel to Film by MPB & Cherrydeck

1. The ‘Pixel to Film’ challenge (“Competition”) is promoted by Cherrydeck GmbH (Cherrydeck, we, us and our), registered in Germany, located at Fettstraße 5A, 20537 Hamburg.
2. By entering the Competition, you will be deemed to accept these terms, together with all entry instructions, which form part of these terms. 
3. To be eligible to enter the Competition:
   a) Entrants must be a real person, aged 18 and older and resident in the EU. You must provide us with your real name and a valid email address. 
   b) Entrants must have a valid Cherrydeck account.
   c) Only one entry is allowed, per person. 
4. Our employees, agents and contractors, or anyone professionally associated with this Competition, and members of the respective families of any of the foregoing are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
5. The prize consists of three (3) €700 voucher to spend at MPB (collectively, the “Prize”). The Prize is subjected to MPB’s terms and conditions. EU residents’ winning voucher denomination will be EUR€ and redeemable on mpb.com/de-de/, mpb.com/fr-fr/ or mpb.com/en-eu/ only.
6. The opening date for entry is May 6th, 2024. The closing date for entry is 18:00 on May 23rd April 2024. Entries received after this time and illegible entries will be discounted. We do not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to the internet.
7. Entries will be judged on creativity and the ability to emulate film style on photographs taken with a digital camera. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who cheats or who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process for, or the operation of, the Competition, or whose conduct is in breach of these terms, contrary to the spirit of these terms or the intention of the Competition, or might, in our reasonable opinion, bring us, any of our affiliates or any of our or their respective brands into disrepute.
8. Prize winner(s) (“Winner(s)”) will be determined by MPB. And notified by us via email.
9. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Winner(s) for 3 days but if the winner fails to respond to our notification attempts within this time or fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements or is otherwise unable to comply with the Competition terms and conditions, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.
10. The Prize is non-negotiable and non-transferable. There is no cash alternative in whole or in part for the Prize.
11. Winners will receive their prize within 30 days following the closing date of the competition.
12. Each entrant hereby warrants that any entry and other materials and information provided by entrant are original and do not violate or infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, moral rights or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, and do not violate any rules or regulations. If the entry or information or materials provided by entrant contain any material or elements that are not owned by entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, entrant represents he or she has obtained, prior to submission of the entry and information or materials, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit our use and exploitation of the entry and information and materials in the manner set forth in these terms without additional compensation.
13. By participating in the Competition, each entrant is providing us with his/her/their personal data. We will only process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy Participating entrants allow us to use their name and entry on our social and paid social channels, as well as the Cherrydeck blog for purposes of the Competition.
14. The Winners may be required to take part in some promotional activity, such as blog articles, as a condition of receiving the Prize.
15. By participating in the Competition, you agree that, if you win, you will co-operate in all advertising, marketing and publicity material and activities we may, at our expense, produce or arrange and you will sign, if requested, an irrevocable release form allowing us, without any compensation being payable, to use your name, photograph, likeness, details of the country and/or city where you live, any comments made by or attributed to you, and to incorporate any such information in and any audio/visual recording or broadcast for such promotional purposes, in any media, throughout the world.
16. You agree that our decision is final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition.
17. We reserve the right, in exceptional circumstances, to vary, amend or withdraw the Competition on reasonable notice.
18. Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability to you for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that, by law, may not be limited or excluded. Subject to this, in no event shall we be liable to you for any loss, damage or disappointment suffered as a result of your entering (or inability to enter) the Competition or your acceptance or non-acceptance of the Prize if you win.
