James Carrusca McCowan (1991) - Canadian born, raised in Portugal - is a photographer currently working as a freelancer and completed his BFA in Photography at Ryerson University. James is interested in photographing landscape, architecture and portraiture in a documentary approach. He has participated in several exhibitions including at the Ryerson Image Arts Building, The Gladstone, and several smaller restaurant galleries. James was awarded 2nd place in Creativity at the Toronto Emerging Artists in 2014. The award was received for one of his infrared photographs taken in Portugal. Most recently James worked for Herb as a Product Photographer.
