John Wheatland

Hi and welcome to my bio, I'd love to wax on about my awards and achievements in the academic world but sorry that's not me! Born in Battersea South London in the 1970's I grew up on a menu of my beloved Chelsea Football Club ( in the dark 2nd division days) and spending the rest of the time playing the beautiful game morning, noon and night. At school I didn't shine but by secondary school I had found a passion for photography, I pushed through and gained my quotations in the days of darkrooms, deadly chemicals and praying for the reef of film not to be over exposed. As the digital age of photography moved forward I cut my teeth of architectural photography including all standards from nasty studio flats to million pound apartments but always working on portraits and fashion when I could. Since 2015 I have stepped up my game, I have a passion for producing images of real people, telling stories with my work and empowering people to embrace their strengths via portraiture.
