Andrew Burford

A little bit about myself: I was born in Cape Town and moved to London to study, after which I moved to Australia and now I live in Berlin. I studied photography from a very young age and was lucky enough to work with some of the best photographers in the world. I would class my style as quite contemporary with a nostalgic flare. Given the chance I would always shoot on film, but that's not to say I don't enjoy the immediacy of digital. I'm a fast shooter, I plan a lot ahead and like to get the job done to a high standard without having to take too long. I think my best quality is my intuition and the trust I have in it. Outside photography I have an arts practice with which I make video art, installations and sculpture.
