I am a photographer, creative director and film maker based in Oslo. I was born in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo. I was lucky enough to have travelled and lived in many countries in Africa and Europe. These multicultural experiences have had profound influence in my artistic expression and creative process. Though my childhood dream was to major in medicine, I was always drawn to the expressive freedoms that Art provided. The ability to be totally immersed and produce work that would elicit emotions and give the opportunity for dialogue. In my portraiture work, I am determined to make my photos relatable- emphasizing the human aspect of things. I aim for the viewer to become part of my creative process, as a kind of added component. As regards my fine art, and conceptual photography, I use my own life experiences to create images that do not shy away from deep and sometimes controversial social topics of our modern world. By applying abstraction, with references to romanticism & symbolism, I aim to create, an anomalous situation in which the viewer is confronted with the conditioning of his own perception and has to reconsider his biases.
