Photographer and visual artist in Amsterdam Anisa Xhomaqi also known as Ani Jo, was born in Tirana in 1993, has been photographing and creating visual art since she was very young. From high shcool years she took pictures for Soul Magazine in Greece where she grew up. She later completed the Photography and Audiovisual Arts School of Athens University of Applied Sciences while also followed one year of exchange studies in the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice. Participated in photography exhibitions and festivals such as Athens Photo Festival (Greece 2015 & 2019), Addis Foto Fest (Ethiopia 2018), Kythera Photo Encounters (Greece 2013 & 2016), Home Festival Trevisro (Italy 2014), Biennale of Mediteranean Artists (Greece 2011) and more. Curently, Xhomaqi is based as a freelance photographer in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
