Antonella Debellis

ANTONELLA DEBELLIS [1986 - Montevideo, Uruguay] Antonella Debellis is an artist, a writer, a diving instructor and an underwater and on-land photographer from Uruguay. She is a technical and experienced photographer in search of action from the viewer, mixing up technics. Her work is a mix of documentation, anthropology and art. Her own style of collage and interactive images, plus the loss of 3o% of her visual field in 2012 had a direct effect on the approach and intentions of her work, focusing on long-term projects based on social, economic, political, world health and personal issues. As a formally educated artist and photographer, Antonella has a Communication Degree from the ESD of Palma de Mallorca (Spain) in Art Photography and has spent more than 15 years as a photo assistant in the commercial and car photography business around the world. As a diver and underwater photographer since 2012 & PADI OWSI since 2017, she has spent more than 4 years as a diving instructor and on land and underwater photographer in Asia. She is based back in Europe since May 2021.
