Ari Bafalouka

My work in photography is divided in four basic pillars. The narrative photography, in a cinematic, controlled and directed way. The unexpected story that is being created in moments of daily life in the streets. The conceptual and formalistic photography, that is mostly imaginary visions combined with actual photographed raw materials. And the naturalistic illustrations of well-lit surfaces, portraits or scapes. In other words I love to capture the moment, the sentiment, the action, the light and the form or the story behind each picture. I work both in colour and in Black & White. Ari Bafalouka is a film director and photographer. His film Apnea has been distributed worldwide and has been awarded in many acclaimed film festivals. His photo work has been awarder at Annual Photography Award and other photo contests.
