Bastian Lembeck

My name is Bastian Lembeck. I’m a Photographer and Director based Berlin, Germany. Born and raised in Stuttgart. I studied Integrated Design at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. I’ve been working within the photography and film industries for the better part of six years. My focus lies on linking the worlds of fashion and art in a coherent visual language. Starting out, I began by documenting punk rock shows in youth clubs; portraying my friends and the eclectic elements of Cora Sabisch that particular scene. I am inspired by the style of the early 2000s, especially the music and skatescenes, as well as directors and photographers like Spike Jonze and Ryan McGinley. I enjoy telling stories based on my belief in autodidact and DIY expression, building a bridge between the rawness of an analogue aesthetic and the freedom and beauty of youth. Growing with new challenges, as well as being true to my roots in not taking no for an answer, motivates me to constantly develop as an artist.
