Chris Hoare (b. 1989) is a photographer based in his hometown of Bristol, UK. It is in Bristol where he also works at the Martin Parr Foundation and has competed an MA at the University of the West of England. Last year Chris was one of four artists selected for Paris Photo’s prestigious Carte Blanche award, whereby his photographs were exhibited at the Gare Du Nord in Paris. Concurrently to this two his photographs were in the National Portrait Gallery (London) as part of the current Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition. Other recent awards include, being selected for Palm* Photo Prize (London), Head On Photo festival (Australia), Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize (Australia) and winning last years Genesis Imaging Postgraduate Bursary Award (London).
