Ich habe die Fotografie seit 1985 von Grund auf gelernt, vor allem in der Werbung. Diesen reichen Erfahrungsschatz erweitere ich mit jeder neuen Arbeit und setze ihn ein. Sorgfalt und ein hoher Anspruch sind dabei entscheidend, dazu eine große Portion Leidenschaft und Spontanität als Sahnehäubchen. Mein Rezept für starke Fotografie ist eine ordentliche Portion Handwerk, gewürzt mit einer Prise Zufall, Kreativität und Feingefühl. Dafür braucht es ein gutes Team, starke Kontakte und vielfältige Erfahrungen, auf die ich zurückgreifen kann. Komplexe Botschaften spornen mich an; egal, ob bei aufwendig inszenierten Produktionen oder bei lebendig-reportagehaften Aufnahmen, ob im Studio oder On Location. Aber bei aller Konzentration und technischer Finesse, liegt mein Fokus dabei immer auch auf den Menschen, mit denen ich arbeite und auf dem Spaß am gemeinsamen Projekt. My recipe for strong photography is a good helping of craftsmanship, seasoned with a pinch of chance, creativity and sensitivity. This requires a good team, strong contacts and diverse experiences that I can fall back on. Complex messages spur me on; regardless of whether it is for lavishly staged productions or for lively reportage-like photoshootings, whether in the studio or on location. But with all the concentration and technical finesse, my focus is always on the people I work with and on having fun in the joint project.
