Hi I am Chris, born in Hong Kong, has spent the last 20 years in the UK, where he’s woven a unique journey from Japanese chef to photographer. After over a decade in the culinary arts, Chris made the bold transition to full-time photography in 2019. He now calls Margate, a scenic coastal town in southeast England, home, where he recently opened his photography store. My love for photography was ignited in his teenage years when his father gifted him a camera, and Chris began documenting life through the lens. Although his passion for photography simmered quietly during his time as a Japanese chef, it wasn’t until a break from the culinary world that he rediscovered his true calling behind the camera. My approach is deeply personal and humanistic, centred around capturing the essence of the brand, people, food, property, and their stories. goes beyond just photography; we prioritize building relationships with our clients. We take the time to understand your vision and ensure a collaborative experience, capturing your story in a way that's both authentic and timeless. Portfolio Today, my commercial portfolio spans business portraits, Interior design and architecture, from his extensive travels, weddings, portraits, and commercial photography, with a focus on properties and food. I am also very proud of my talents in social causes, working closely with NGOs such as SGI-UK. His approach to photography is profoundly influenced by his Buddhist practice, guided by the teachings of his mentor, Daisaku Ikeda who was an educator and peace-builder, and the philosophy of Nichiren Daishonin.
