Denise Bakker

Denise Bakker (The Netherlands, 1996) is a Dutch visual artist specialising in conceptual and fashion imagery, currently based in Berlin. Through her travels since a young age and her first internship in the UK, she has lived in different places—England, Amsterdam, Denmark, and now Berlin. This notion gave her the need to observe and comment on global social and technological topics. Starting as a graphic designer with a strong interest in creative direction, she graduated cum laude in International Fashion & Branding from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, including an Erasmus semester in Fashion Film. She has received several recognitions for her photography work and bachelor's graduation film. In 2023, she received scholarships from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, VSB, and the Dr. Hendrik Muller Vaderlandsch funds to follow an MA in Photography.
