I was born in Italy in 1980. I first approached photography while living in London, at the age of twenty, by chance, while exploring different forms of expression necessary to release a creative energy I always felt I had and always tried to feed.
The human element was, initially, the missing key towards which I always felt a great attraction and that once I started portraying people brought me a kind of creative happiness.
I have always been fascinated by the infinite visual combinations that our body offers. Our face alone can evoke a myriad of emotions. The ability to manipulate this extraordinary “instrument”, which is our body, represents for me an irresistible opportunity to speak to someone's soul. This is for me the very essence of photography. Is this intimate communication between image and observer, a communication without words, silent yet so powerful, that makes me love this wondrous technique.
