I am a documentary and portrait photographer from Germany currently based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Photography is the tool I am using to better understand cultural diversity, the dynamics we are living in as societies and what those say about us as humans. In my work I strive for rawness and genuine emotion. Imperfections play an important role for me and my aim is to reveal the hidden beauty within those by embracing what is different, giving my audience the chance to change perspectives and question society-based values. I believe photography has given us the ability to challenge our own worldview, and to bring us into connection despite our differences. Currently I am working on a longterm project dealing with the subject of faith, visualising something invisible to the eye but with huge impact on human life around the planet.
