I was born in 1976. I grew up in Athens where I still live. I started taking pictures, initially in my spare time, shortly before finishing my studies, Bachelor of Arts - Industrial and Product Design (Middlesex University with Athenian Artistic and Technological Group - AKTO). Soon, my involvement with photography became my main job as well as a new means of expression. My most important "study" in photography, up to this day, is my persistence and experimentation. I have worked in various fields such as Applied Photography, mainly Still Life photography, contemporary design objects, architectural works as well as in the field of advertising. I consider all the arts and crafts as communicating vessels and I enjoy experimenting with their materials. This experimentation constantly enriches my perception of light and reshapes my way in the process of visual composition. Since 2010 I have been collaborating with the Acropolis Museum photographing archeological exhibits, exhibition venues, periodic exhibitions and material related to the Museum's advertising. More of my works involve shooting for the GNTO's campaign (2010), for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the shops of the new Museum of the Vassilis and Eliza Goulandris Foundation, the Benaki Museum as well as the Industrial Gas Museum Shop of Technopolis. I have worked with designers from the field of Product Design, jewelry designers, creative agencies, hotels and various other companies. www.giorgosvitsaropoulos.com Instagram, Facebook: Giorgos Vitsaropoulos
