Sebastian Freitag

Sebastian Freitag was born in Düsseldorf in 1976. He is a photographer, artist and blogger. However, he fills his refrigerator as a Ziseleur in a renowned Düsseldorf art foundry. "Photography is omnipresent, for me it is a means of expression, comfort and support." In addition to the commissioned work - weddings, concert and band photos, fashion shoots - the idiosyncratic and unusual image arrangements are striking, manifesting themselves in a wild mix of idiosyncrasy, creativity, technology and courage. His sources are so multi-layered and deep that he can hardly find them. He often finds things on flea markets or dumps that he uses for his pictures. But he also charges everyday items such as puzzle pieces or nails with meaning for his pictures, which are often autobiographical. Photography has been his daily companion since the 365 day project in 2014.
