Angelo Bongiovanni (Siracusa, 1998) is a visual artist based in Berlin. He began his photographic journey in 2020, studying Visual Arts at MADE Academy in Siracusa. His work explores the relationship between personal experience and social reality through a sensitive and reflective documentary approach. In 2024, he moved to Berlin to pursue a Master’s in Photography at SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, deepening his authorial practice. He has exhibited in group and solo shows including BAB Brainstorming Art Brunch, Feste Archimedee, READYperMADE, and Altamarea. His key projects include a study on homelessness in Sicily (2021), Back to Freedom(2021), Waves (2022–23), Nocturne (2021-23), On the Way to Santiago (2024–), Between Dream and Reality (2024–25), Loneliness in Berlin (2025–), and Data Protection (2025–). His visual language is shaped by a close relationship with his surroundings, often working with a Sony A7 III using 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm lenses to create visual intimacy. His work seeks to build a dialogue between introspection and collective issues, often integrating video, text, and participatory research.
