People & Lifestyle | Editorial & Documentary

Jasmin Breidenbach is a photographer living between southern Germany and Paris. Since her early childhood, Jasmin Breidenbach has used photography as a tool to capture her surroundings. After her first bachelor's degree in media and cultural studies, she had a strong desire to turn her passion into her profession. So in 2014 she started working as an assistant for various fashion and portrait photographers. One year later she studied photo design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. In spring 2018 she went to Paris for half a year to work for the British portrait photographer Laura Stevens. Jasmin was awarded with the German Photo Book Prize in 2019 with her Bachelor's thesis "Live with Love. Promise.", about the women of a spiritual community in West India. Since then she has also been part of several group exhibitions, among others in collaboration with the Kompetenzteam Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft München, the University of Applied Sciences Munich and the Münchner Gesellschaft für Stadterneuerung mbH. Jasmin was interested in the world of fashion photography for a while, because she appreciates the diverse possibilities of storytelling. Now she uses these skills to tell stories about real people and social issues. Her German-Moroccan roots are the base of her interest in cultural topics, especially when it comes to the role of women in society and a better future for our planet.
