Jasmin Fazlagić began his career in 1995, working with the master of art photography Besim Hodžić. During this time, he has gone a long way from a newspaper photographer, working for the most prominent newspaper houses and magazines in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also in Croatia. He worked for some of the EPH editions. In 2004, he started working as a photography editor for the Gracija magazine, after which he decided to continue his career as a freelance photographer. Owing to his natural talent and years of work, he managed to create a recognizable style, and so his photographs in various publications are often very easy to spot. He is the author of a large number of commercial campaigns, fashion books, calendars, and other kinds of promotional material, since he worked with many promotional agencies and companies, but also with many artists and people from public life and culture. His favorite project so far has been the shooting of traditional folk costumes and customs of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina that he has been working on for a number of years now, together with the Carmelite, Fr. Zvonko Martić. By collecting materials from folk stories and traditions and turning them into photographs, they are trying to salvage the customs and tradition of the peoples on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina from oblivion. He won a special commendation of the Federal Ministry of Tourism and Environment for his contribution to the development and nurture of tradition and traditional customs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the opening of one of his? exhibitions in 2010.
