Johan Chomet was born in 1982 in Paris XI.
He spent his early years in Arles and became quickly interested in his father photography. But it’s only in 2005, when he spent a few months in New York carrying his first compact camera around, that he started taking his own photographs.
His photographs were first focusing on street life, from eastern London where he resided for several years, to various places in Europe, before expanding to travel photography.
Late 2013, he left for a trip across Asia using only overland transportation. He’s been documenting his impressions and testimonies of the cultures he has met through his pictures.
