Mafalda Pombo Lopes

I am a photographer, with a very big passion for drone photography and video. I hold a degree in Sound and Image from Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha. Photography had a big impact in my life since a young age. During university video started to be a part of my routine, and it quickly gained its own space in my work. In 2012, I went on an Erasmus programme to Birmingham Institute of Arts and Design, where I was honoured to participate and win a 3rd place in the University photography competition. The work selected was exhibited in The Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Real Estate photography has been my day-by-day work for the last years. Imagine Imobiliária located in Setúbal and at HomeLovers in Lisbon. I developed skills as a content creator for photography and video, I came up with ideas with the Marketing department to help grow the business with sales, rentals and connecting with people. I was able to understand how important is to have good and interesting content to captivate clients and people that like to be inspired by beautiful homes. I learned about composition and creating welcoming and cozy environments for different circumstances. There's a lot of sensivity when photographing an interior, each home has its story - there's a specific light, texture, detail, there's an emotion. My taste for interior design, eye for detail, editorial magazine grow a lot. On the other side, my profession has also enabled to embark on creative projects, within the music industry, artists, journalists and other great audiovisual professionals. As a professional in a competitive industry like photography, it's crucial to understand what's going on and find our place and be part of our community by educating. My motivation to educate others in photography providing fundamental tools to develop ideas, sharing knowledge, stimulating criativity, it's the key for a bright future. And for that reason, I took a Teaching Certificate - CCP. I also love to do street photography, reportage, storytelling and editorial.
