Mai Ibargüen

During my Graphic Design studies that I discovered photography becoming my vocation and a way of life. Since performing arts was one of my passions, I decided to focus my work on that field. I look for the essence of the movement, emotions beyond expression, but in pure symbiosis with the excellence of circus or dance technique. Some of my exhibitions have been shown in the frame of circus and performing arts like Circaire Festival in the Auditorium of Alcùdia (Mallorca), Zirco Festival in Square of España in Zaragoza or Certain Light of women photographers from Aragón in La Lonja art exhibition building of Zaragoza. My photographies have been published in press and specialised performing arts media both at national and international level like El Circense (Argentina), Zirkólika (Spain) or the Circus Talk community. My working activity brought me to cover festivals like Festival Iberoamericano de Circo (FIRCO), congress and national circus fair CircoRed or the festival Pies para qué los quiero in places such as Teatro Circo Price de Madrid or Teatro Principal de Zaragoza. I became part of Serendipia Producciones (serendipiaproducciones.com). We organize a circus festival Utebo Respira Circo (Utebo, Zaragoza) in addition to International Circus Gala Shows or Women of Circus Season, together the city hall and other local entitites. In Spain, the Federation of Associations of Circus Professionals, CircoRed, exists. I am part of that association since I am part of my region association, Aragón, under the name of CARPA. Within CircoRed, I became part of the Gender Commission and I was one of the driving forces to carry out the III National Circus Women Meeting at Zaragoza.
