Marisa Cardoso

Marisa Cardoso was born in Figueira da Foz in 1977 and now lives in Lisbon. She graduated in Social Communication but her career's first decade was devoted to her passion for Cinema. Music, her longtime lover, just guided her to an unconditional love for photography. She is now a freelance photographer for 15 years, travels as much as she can and she is still driven by passions. Work for portuguese magazines such as Sábado, UP (TAP inflight magazine), Time Out. Also collaborates with several communication agencies, book editors, cultural initiatives and corporate brands such as Nike, Pestana Group, Afuri, Fly London and Trienal de Arquitectura. In 2018 was a member of the official photographers team at Rock in Rio Lisboa Festival and since 2016 works with Guimarães noc noc festival. Her photographs integrated the photo exhibitions of the 25th anniversary Paredes de Coura Music Festival and the 20th anniversary of the Super Bock Super Rock Festival. Her work has been published in The Guardian, Forbes, Elle Brasil, Expresso and Público among others.
