Hello! I'm Cristina and I have a passion: photographing food!! I started my professional journey as a web designer, after a degree in Communication Design and Graphic Techniques, but quickly took on a passion for photography. It was at the Portuguese Institute of Photography in Porto that I became a professional photographer. My experience as a designer refined my sense of taste and aesthetics, but once again, the desire to learn spoke louder, leading me to Spain and California, in the United States, to train in Food Photography and Food Styling. My brand is creating clean, unpretentious, realistic images, trying to make the photography spontaneous, although prepared to the finest detail. With extreme care for lighting, which I consider fundamental, like seasoning in food, I use a considerable amount of accessories and props from my collection, which grows every day! I am the author of the book "Excuses to Cook" and founded, in 2010, VAZIO Studio, a photographic production company specializing in gastronomic photography and food styling, having already successfully worked with hotels, restaurants, tourism, consumer brands, publishers, graphic studios, and advertising agencies. Currently, I live in a village in the Northern Alentejo, practicing the art of minimalism, slow living, and connection to nature.
