Twenty-one Cherrydeck photographers in seven German cities will be invited to experience the Polestar 2 in an exclusive roadtrip through the country.
This year, Polestar and Cherrydeck team up again to create outstanding imagery for the Polestar 2. We are inviting photographers all over Germany to join us on this journey and get the chance to drive and photograph the Polestar 2 in a unique opportunity.
About Polestar
Polestar is a Swedish electric performance car brand and one of a main challengers in the mobility industry. The Polestar 2
The Polestar 2 is a fully electric, five-door fastback. Standing out through its meticulous design, every small detail serves a purpose as a result of 30 months of fine-tuning.
The performance of the Polestar 2 is unique and unmatched. In a turbulent world, the car makes its statement by being quiet. It allows for a sprint to 100km/h in less than 5 seconds without making a sound.
Loved by the experts, the Polestar 2 was awarded the 1st place in the German Car of the Year in the “Luxury” category and in the Golden Steering Wheel in the “Medium SUV” category.
The Polestar x Cherrydeck Journey
If you have a passion for great design, mobility and have a drivers licence, the Polestar x Cherrydeck Journey is for you.
Polestar and Cherrydeck are inviting photographers from all over Germany to join a unique photography competition and get the chance to drive and shoot the Polestar 2 in a journey throughout the country.
In seven German cities — Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Munich — 21 (3×7) photographers in total will be able to put their hands on the steering wheel of the Polestar 2 and drive it for a week each.
The goal? Complete the roadtrip route by getting the car to the next city’s Polestar Space, while capturing the experience with amazing photographs in their city and along the way. The best submissions will win the competition!
Who are we looking for?
Polestar and Cherrydeck are looking for photographers who bring the following traits to the table:
1. A photographic style that matches the Polestar brand. You don’t need to be a car photographer, but the imagery you produce should be minimalistic and have a clean aesthetic.
2. Ability to craft a creative and innovative approach of portraying a car. Polestar is a brand that stands out for doing things differently within the industry, so you should be open to use your imagination.
3. Great knowledge of photographic spots within your home city. Your images should have visual cues of these German urban areas.
4. Willingness and excitement to share content during the competition in your online channels. Ideally, you should have a solid local network and take your audience with you behind the scenes.
5. Availability from mid-June to mid-July (approximately) to take part in the roadtrip.
The shortlisted and winning photographers
After the evaluation of all applications and shortlisting, each of the chosen 21 photographers will be able to drive the Polestar 2 and create world-class photography content for their portfolio, social media and the competition.
Because we want every participant to be on the spotlight, we will update our channels with news snippets, and share the photographers’ Instagram Stories and posts along the way for extra reach.
Besides the media coverage, the selected photographers will have the privilege of driving the Polestar 2 independently for a week and receive a €1.000 cash just for participation. The final winners (one in each city) get the chance to have their content exhibited in the Polestar spaces during events with press and local content aficionados, plus €3.000 for the photography buyouts on top.
The final contestants and winners will be chosen by Polestar and added to the brand’s pool of contacts for future campaigns.

Actually I’m a Traveling Blogger and I’m quite experienced in roadtrips, taking pictures and doing storytelling out of them. From pictures of yacht’s, to scooters and fancy cars I did all of them. This would be my next step.
