Rogers Ouma

Constantly lending a voice to the Neo-African narrative of an evolving continent, Rogers Ouma is a Kenyan photographer based in Cape Town and Nairobi, whose work retains the fascination of his first interactions with editorial and fashion magazines from his childhood. I uses photography to communicate his perspectives, influenced by my own combination of buzzing Nairobi city and rural life experiences. My work reflects a progressive editorial edge across documentary, portraiture and fashion realms while maintaining a personal and intimate touch. I tell my stories from an instinctive place employing a signature style that draws out the subject’s personality to tell their story.
