Ruan Zirk Cornelissen is a Cape Town–based documentary and street photographer with a background in theatre and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication from the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
His work has been recognised by GUP Magazine, where he was selected as a FRESH EYES x Hungry Eye Talent for 2026 - part of a global cohort of emerging and distinct photographic voices. He has exhibited online with Through the Lens Collective’s It’s Been a Year, and his work will be presented at Haute Photographie 2026 in Rotterdam.
