Vitor Schietti's work is dedicated to the visual representations of dreams and memories as building blocks of one’s identity. His motifs go from landscape to portraiture, applying long exposure, multiples exposures, and light painting techniques. Vitor was born in Brasilia (Brazil) in 1986 and is currently based in Barcelona. He's passionate about rock climbing and the vegan cause, to which he contributes through the project founded by himself, The Vegan Utopia. Schietti has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from the University of Brasilia. In 2011 he funded a photographic studio specialized in advertising photography in Brasilia, which continues to function through his fellow partners. He’s participated in several solos and collective exhibits in Brazil, Spain, Italy, USA, India, Japan and Russia. Schietti's series “Impermanent Sculptures” was awarded by the PDN 2016 Photo Annual in NYC and gained international recognition. Vitor studied cinema in Los Angeles and in São Paulo, and is often involved in video productions. From 2017 to 2020 Vitor was the cultural manager of Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture, where he engaged the art market from a different perspective, assisting artists to accomplish projects and moving the art scene in Barcelona. In 2020 Schietti shifts back to photography and video as an artist and as a professional image-maker.
