I am currently a south base photographer living in the south west. Working full time as a juniorPhotographer and Retoucher for The Range, Wilko & Homebase for the last 4 years. I studied my degree in commercial photography at Plymouth College of art between 2018-2021, this led me to heavily focus on product photography while studying during the pandemic. During my final year of study it helped me develop a niche for my photographic style, this style is based around narratives and set building within product photography. I have internships with various businesses and one of my biggest accomplishments to date was The Range where I interned for 3 months and then got offered a full time position as a studio assistant where I do product photography for packaging, social media and marketing campaigns as well as retouching for the company. In my field I am experienced in various DSLR cameras with mainly shooting on Canon and Nikon and have excellent knowledge on camera settings. I have a understanding of lighting equipment this is with natural, flash and continuous lighting and know how to manipulate the light to fit in a certain style like needing to make continuous light look natural, with this it has led me to know how to use different lighting brands such as Elinchrom, Broncolor, Bowen and others. When studying I wanted to learn as much as I could so I went to lectures where I learned how to use various software and have an understanding of lightroom, photoshop, InDesign and capture1. With my niche I have learnt a lot to do with DIY and set building with creating mini sets for shoot, this is something I have been able to apply into my current job, with needing to do set building often to create a narrative in the photographs. My passions are in product photography, this is with my niche being creating narrative and set building with semiotics and is something I would like to explore further within my practice and over time have this as my permanent style. Drop me a message if you want to discuss anything further.
