Silvano Ballone

Born and raised by Italian parents in Zurich, Switzerland. At the age of seven I discovered my passion for dance, and since then have dedicated myself to a career as a professional ballet dancer. Through dancing I also developed an eye for aesthetic and beauty. Whether in everyday life, in the studio or onstage, I found myself constantly surrounded by beauty - beauty that I could work out with the help of a camera. Fascinated by the prospect of using photography as a means to open up the mind and heart to the environment around, I began to photograph all things that inspired or spoke to me. After thirteen years with Hamburg Ballet – John Neumeier, where I danced as a soloist, I retired from stage in 2015. Since then I work as a freelance photographer in the field of Portrait, People, Lifestyle, Sport, Architecture and especially in Ballet- and Theatre Photography for clients like the ›Bavarian State Ballet‹, the Hamburg Ballet School and the ›National Youth Ballet of Germany- John Neumeier‹ as well as for ›Reebok/Germany‹ ›Wella/Germany‹ ›Remy Cointreau‹ ›LONGINES‹ and ›Children For Tomorrow Foundation‹ by Stefanie Graf. Also the ›Hamburg Tourism‹ ›Booking.com‹ and ›BMW Group Culture‹ are included to my customers. I photograph with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and a Canon EOS 6D and based now in Hamburg, Germany.
