Vanessa Rojo de la Vega was born in Mexico City. Her interest in photography and video at an early age led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Visual Arts in Mexico City. After graduating, she worked for global advertising agency DDB. Drawn to the world of filmmaking, Vanessa joined production house Bross y Asociados, where she spent two years as Assistant Director. In 2010, she moved to New York and completed the General Studies in Photography Program at the International Center of Photography, receiving The Joanie M. Chen Fund for Education scholarship. After completing her studies, Vanessa started working as a full-time assistant to renowned photographer Martin Schoeller. As a freelance photographer, she has been published in Vanity Fair Mexico, GQ Mexico, Life&Style and Travel + Leisure. In 2014, she was a SPD Merit Winner for her work in Travel + Leisure Mexico. She currently lives in Brooklyn and works in NYC, NJ and CT.
