The assignment
Merci Handy is a trendy cosmetic brand based in Paris. They have a wide range of products such as hand cleansing gels, refreshing face mists, and hand creams. Earlier this year, they organized a photoshoot for their digital campaign featuring one of our members, Angela Sichanh.
She was contacted back in November 2020 through Cherrydeck to be part of the Merci Handy campaign. “I received the message on Cherrydeck and answered really quickly,” she told us – it was her first time using our platform to get a job opportunity.
The campaign was planned to be shot in January 2021 in their studio with two other models. A professional team with a stylist, MUA, and a photographer were also planned for the shoot.
Angela has worked as a model – and graphic designer – for years, so it was not her first photoshoot, however, she was “very excited to work with this new brand because (…) it was a fresh and colorful project to be part of.”
The process
By simply taking a look at Merci Handy’s website one is stunned by their aesthetic, spotting the bright colors and pastels. As Angela describes it: “the overall mood of Merci Handy is ‘rainbows & unicorns’.” Consequently, she was open to changing her hair color for the campaign: “we decided to bleach my hair in blue with some pink tones“. The photoshoot lasted 5 hours with all the preparation.
They loved my visual identity and I loved their identity too, so there was a match!

Results and feedback
The final pictures for her Merci Handy campaign truly reflect the brand, and Angela also loved the way they turned out. “They were very happy to have me on this project, we had a really good time together.” You can still find her pictures featured throughout their website.
Talking about her experience landing a job with Cherrydeck for the first time she stated “I’m happy that it worked out because I was directly in contact with the brand (…). Thank you Merci Handy and thank you Cherrydeck for this opportunity!”
